This season their seems to be a lot more bugs in my area and I don't always have time to clean the windshield when I get home at night and in the morning the sun cooks whatever is left on the window.

Surprising enough, the rest of my car doesn't have this: the mirrors, front bumper, fenders and hood are clean, it is just the front windshield (Kind of weird...)

Is there some sort of product that I can put on the windshield to minimize this?

Thanks in advance!

Well you can't reduce the amount of bugs that get on windshield though applying a glass coating may add a stronger protection and easier cleaning

It is a genuine chore to keep the windshield clean as a whistle. I try to find the time to get 'em off before I retire for the night.

And since I haven't ever seen products like Waxes, Sealants, RainX, Aquapel, etc. keep my windshields
bug free: I'm thinking about going to Windshield Tear-Offs
during the buggiest times of the year!

I'll look into a glass coating, thanks!

I won't be going for the windshield tear off's, I'll try a coating otherwise I guess I'll have to live with it.

I don't know of anything that will let the bug guts slide off without any work, but I've found spraying Poorboys Bug Squash on the glass, letting it dwell, and then going back and washing the windshield makes the process much easier/faster.

Pinnacle Bug Sponge would make short work of getting those bugs off the windshield.

I use Garry Deans beyond infinity sealant on everything, not just the glass, and bugs come right off. If you want to make short work of them and don't yet have ant protection, 0000 steel wool with soapy water or some other lubricant is as fast as you can get. I find glass is easy because its so hard, you can be more aggressive.

I'd do the following:

Wash the car, with emphasis on windshield.

Thoroughly clay windshield. Dry the car (not necessarily this order).

Grab your polisher, and polish the glass using a fine polish like M205 or SF4000.

Grab a manual applicator (preferable square (cut one round applicator to square shape)) and work the corners.

Repeat the process now using a Surface Cleansing Polish (I'd recommend Pinnacle Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish). Work the corners as well.

This process will make your glass squeaky clean, smooth and reflective, as glass.

I generally work half windshield at a time, since you have to use plenty of product to get lubricity on glass, you can also spread it further. Work slowly, sure, but towards.

Tape surround trim before polishing if you find the need to.

Coat the Glass using Pinnacle Black Label Surface Coating or the coating of your preference.

Wait for cure at least 12 hours.

Order a bottle of Ultima Waterless Wash + (you don't even need the concentrate if you pretend to use only for windshield).

You can do a daily maintenance using 3-4 mists of UWW+ and wiping with a towel, twice (remove residue and buff to a shine, streak free finish).

It'll last you through many months this way.

Hope that helps, giving you some ideas to add to your approach.

Kind Regards.

When I am on vacation in bug states I always pack a can of baby wipes. I pull over every hour or so (sooner if I just can't stand it) and wipe the window with a baby wipe or two. It gets off all the bug bodies and inner goo. Then a quick dry with a paper towel and I am good for another hundred miles or so.
I returned a rental car once in Louisiana that was silver when I got it and yellow when I returned it.
The windows were nice and clean though.
