Checked the autopian site this morning and seen one of david's (editor) articles.. I kept telling myself I seen this guy before somewhere, then realized where.. You know that German guy in raiders of the lost ark who always wears black and who's face got melted at the end of the movie.. BAM
Although I like the black accents on the van, the rear tail lights is an area where these black acescent shouldn't be. The brake light setup is very dull looking and often very had to see. I was going to use the LED set up didn't like the thought of the resistors getting extremely hot and could cause melting or a fire issue.
the upper reflective housing arrived yesterday. what a nice change. but going to wait till the lower half arrived Sunday to do the full install of the new lights.. Plus noone we know has the Hella brake light bulbs. had to order these direct from Hella and they should arrive later this week. Till then, I hate these cheap knockoff bulbs that came with the housing..
D-Day and I haven't been able to sleep.. worried about all the things we need to get done to the van before the end of April. This morning it's off to the shop to have the new trans mount installed, then over to firestone for the brakes serviced.
We're expecting the upper light housing to arrive any min and I'm debating if I should install them now or wait till the new lower halves arrive sunday. Surprisingly, several people at work today noticed the "Wing Worms" and asked what they are for.. Mind you those asking have PHD's is aerodynamics..
