On a bright spot.. I contacted a major (North American) muscle car suspension shop and they've agreed to partner up with us and develop a set of rear shocks for the van. They also admitted that they will integrate the new knob that can be turned for a firmer or softer ride into these shocks. Can't say who this company is till we get the shocks in hand.
Disappointing new Sat, just got an email from the platters saying that they are backed up with orders so this means instead of 3 weeks for the wheel to be chrome plated.. it will now take 6-8 weeks..
Why does it take so long for this chrome plating process?.. it's because, the wheel has to be, cleaned, copper plated, nickel plated and then chrome plated.
According to the tracking, our single wheel made it to the platers.. now the wait begins. But after searching the platers gallery site.. I found a wheel that looks similar to the AXE CS Lite wheels. So here's what we can expect to see in about 3 weeks. The wife says, she's extremely excited and can't wait.
One of the best things I've done to the van was convert the M10 bolts and ball joints over to M12. the van has been running flawlessly for the last 3 months. There's a big difference between M10 and M12 bolts/ball joints. Was it worth it? Sure was.
