Seems there's an interest in the new upgraded stiffer rear springs on the sites I visit.. I'll be working up a "kit" which will adapter the monroe shocks to the van assuming those following are wanting to upgrade to the stiffer/lowering springs.
Opps, just learn that Lithium grease should not be used on rubber bushings.. so taking that spray grease back and getting a silicone based spray grease.
One thing I meant to add earlier is that over the weekend, I noticed that the passenger side front tire was low on air.. much lower than I've ever seen.. inspected the tire, no nails.. checked the metal stem, no leaks.. removed the cap.. BAM.. the plastic cap has a deformed seal which was causing air to leak out.. I'm done with caps.
One thing or a negative thing about the Powerstop carbon fiber/ceramic pads is that when it rains, the pad tend to squeak after the van's bene sitting for a while. one thing I did this morning is to spray some grease on the coil springs at the poly junction and to make sure no grease over spray got on the rotors. I used the brake kleen spray.
With The upcoming trip. I've created a necessity bag that has several car cleaning products along with care car products. The Liter-1 bug and tar will be the most used item in the bag.
