The Best Paste Wax is...

Here is some of my favorite paste waxes that i enjoy using :
1. Dodo Juice Purple Haze Soft Wax
2. Blackfire Black Ice
3. Poorboys World Natty's Red
4. Finish Kare 2685 Pink Paste Wax
5. Dodo Juice Orange Crush Soft Wax
6. Chemical Guys Pete's 53
7. Meguiars Black Wax
8. Surf City Barrier Reef
9. Mothers California Gold
10. Wolfgang Rudolph Red Wax

For looks?

Yes looks only as seeing as you chose P21S you obviously not looking at longevity. Alternatively or additionally I would have chosen Max Wax along with M26 for alittle more $. Alternate between those 2 for looks if you enjoy applying wax often. If you dont 915 is drop dead gorgeous in looks but boy does it last and last and you will only wax again 6-9 months later.

For me, It goes on like butter, comes of with no effort. Leaves a glossy wet look. I have used it on single stage PPG paint, that does not see weather. My intention of using it is not for extreme durability to harsh elements. If that was the case, I would use a sealer or coating. But, the theme of this thread was NOT what is the most durable paste wax, but what is your favorite paste wax to use. I like this paste wax. It works for me.

I just ordered some p21s to revisit after all these years, how does every one rate this wax?
I rate it right up there with S100 = A#1

Silly buckeye fans! Lol.

Anyway, I'd have to agree with Zubair on 915. I've used many waxes in the past, and nothing seems to compare to a shine like 915. There is just something unique about it, you have to see for yourself.

I've used it often, and have it on hand.

About four years ago, a local asked me about what would be a very good Nuba Paste, for his beloved german vehicle with a recent high quality repaint.

The first words out of my mouth were Collinite #915, and followed next by #476 as my top 2 choices. It went in one ear, and out the other, took a lot of insults in the process, bragging about his past "Concours Experience", I don't know a good wax from Shinola, bla bla bla. He went with some Zymol uber priced wax, I laughed inside when I later seen the little jar, and what he paid for it

Ignorance is bliss, his loss.

I have to say 2 coats of Souveran gives my car a deep shine with a warm glow, but you guys have convinced me to give Collinite a try.

We could of course debate best paste waxes forever, best shine-gloss, best durability-protection, contents of product, ease of use, fragrance, it goes on and on.

There may be quite a few that will last as long, or even longer as Colly 915, and 476, but made by whom, and for how much? Same in regards with shine-gloss, how much extra money spent will it take?

It often comes down to personal choice, someone here could be saying that "I'm a WG Fuzion man will use nothing but", and I wouldn't argue that this too is probably without a doubt one darn fine product. Looks are one thing and of course the other is protection. No doubt everybody hopes to find the 'best of both worlds" with any given product.

But, for the $$$$ cost plucked down, I do believe one will be very hard pressed surpassing the Collinite products. It's a large can, one that if you're only using it on 1 or 2 vehicles, that one can of either 476 or 915 is going to be around for a long long time!

Agree 100%. It's not always what is the best it's what makes you feel the best about using it and the wat that your eye sees the results. There is no magic "gloss O meter" that we all have. It's in our minds.

Yep, and I could probably choose between about a good 200+ products showcased and sold here, use them solely, and be a quite happy camper the rest of my days.

So many great products sold here, and sometimes it seems, "so little money"! :-)

I am not that into buying alot of waxes to have. I find something that I like and I use it often as larry kosilla says. Collinite was highly recommended by alot here, I tried 845 and loved it. As long as I have a good supply and I detail correctly. Collinite suits me fine. I also consolidated my stuff so I know exactly what to buy and how much. I dont have to stress about the options or expensiveness of things and I love a hobby like this. When there is something better for my money and space, I move on when it all works out.

Best wax is this. I have been using it since I was 13 I'm now 27 (but feel 18) :cruisin:

What can I say? They like it... :dunno: :D

Meguiar's Ultimate Wax for me or Opti Coat. Meguiar's seems to be coming out with a coating too...

heard that stuff is extremely hard to mold? am I wrong. American crew pomade gets expensive lol

I was talking about hard on LSPs - not on the paint or substrate. My experience tells me salt is worse on LSPs than sun.

Come on down here in July and see how long you can hold your hand on a black vehicle before screaming uncle
