Spray Wax that is long lasting and gives decent protection?

I've stopped using traditional spray waxes in lieu of Blackfire Crystal Seal. Easiest LSP to apply hands down and lasts much longer. WG also makes a version. Give either a try - one of those WOW products.

Yes....but if your looking for some nice depth to go along with that great CS look....top with a spay wax. WOW !!! :xyxthumbs:

I am very happy with D156. Goes on easy, has a nice slick feeling, durable and is priced right.

I use it in addition to and not in place of a good sealant or wax.

Nope, you're not. I don't use it anymore for this reason. I heard diluting it 1:3 really helps with the smearing, but you're impacting the durability big time by doing that.

I use to be a fan of gtechniq , but after applying their c1 , exov2 and the c2v3. I'm not sure if I will ever touch their products again lol

anybody used acrylic jett trigger before? heard that is a great product

In fairness, the majority of the products mentioned have about as much to do with wax as I have to do with Elizabeth Hurley.

for the cost and protection factor I don't think D156 can be beat every other week

easy on off, trim friendly, affordable and quite glossy

To op: I haven't seen or heard of a spray on - wipe off wax/sealant that last 2 months or more. That's a pretty tall task for some traditional wax and even some sealants. Of course, I may be wrong, I haven't used everything that's offered out there. If you need a weekly topper or booster to your current LSP after washing your car, pretty much anything discussed in his thread will do.

As Evan.J stated above, Hydro2 is probably your best bet.

Oh forgot to add Reload by Carpro. I have no experience with it but hear really good things about it. Not sure it'll last 2 months though.

also my bueno.. affordable... durable and shiny

It seems as if D156 has taken the spotlight over AW. I haven't tried it yet, need to get a sample. But I have over a half gallon of AW left so I'm telling myself I don't need it lol

AquaWax is hard to beat and I've used a lot of it. The other day I was at WalMart and picked up a spray bottle of something I never used before called Lucas Slick Mist. Lucas is known in automotive circles as having quality products so I assumed their detail line might be pretty good. AquaWax costs nine dollars for 22oz. and the Lucas that comes in 24oz cost about half a buck less. That price makes it even more of a bargain than AquaWax. Another plus is that it is available not only at WalMart but most of your local auto supply stores.

When I got home I started to read up on it and I was impressed by the user reviews I found, although it is seldom mentioned here at AutoGeek. I was also impressed with Lucas' versatility in that, like AquaWax, it can be used as a drying aid or as a topper on a dry, clean car. And like AquaWax, it is not a wax at all but a sealant. In fact, the only difference I can see between the two is the smell. The Lucas smells just like bubble gum and is much stronger than AquaWax's fragrance. Your whole garage will smell like a bubble gum factory!! It can also be used in the sun without streaking, or so they say, and that is important to me here in Texas.

I washed my diamond white ML350 with the daily wash strength ratio of CGs Citrus shampoo and blew off some water with my leaf blower. There was still plenty of water left on the car and I misted it with the Lucas and then dried and buffed. It was a snap to use and I must say that it looks great! It is slick (as the name implies), easy to work with and leaves a shine at least as good as AquaWax.

Since I had time, I waited an hour and hit it again with another coat when the car was totally dry. I think the second coat gave it even more gloss. Another thing I like is that the shelf life is listed at five years! And we all know we can go a little longer than listed if stored properly. Slick Mist has UV protection as well, another plus for us here in Texas. If you like AquaWax you will probably like Slick Mist - for me it is a toss up between the two. The look is not as deep and rich as OCW and not as "candy-like" as V7. It is somewhere in-between.

I have no idea how durable the Lucas Slick Mist is and I don't care since I wash weekly and top with some spray sealant or wax every second or third wash. All in all I am impressed with Slick Mist, very impressed indeed!

Ive been talking up Slick Mist for a while here. My new fav product.

Aqua Wax. It is the only wax ( Really a sealant) that the company work van has applied and lasts at least 3 months. The van gets washed once in a while when work slows down and I am amazed at the beading and sheeting that happens when it is hosed down. The Aqua Wax is applied during the drying process.

AquaWax. Got tired of spending $10 for 18oz so I "splurged" and bought a gallon for $30. Looks good, smells great, stupidly easy to apply.

Meguiars ultimate quick wax for me but I have not tried any others that you can't find on the shelf because spray waxes never interested me until a year maybe two ago when wal mart had this meguiars kit on sale for real cheap that had small spray bottles of the ultimate quick wax ultimate quick detailer, glass cleaner, supreme shine and natural shine. But I like it a lot now.
