Favorite Tire Dressing?

I'd have to say that my two favorite are WG tire gel and Surf City Tire Pro, with the edge going to Surf City. Both go on very easily with no sling, but Surf City seems to last a little longer than WG's offering. But I'm happy with either one!

DP tire gel for the buck...Wolfgang and Pinnacle are very nice also... I just received Optimum Tire Shine, and will be posting a review on it shortly...

For smooth side walls WG tire gel, for ribbed a water based dressing.

Optimum Tire Shine - matte black finish
Mothers FX Tire Shine - matte gloss

I might have to give Surf City Beyond Black Tire Pro a try. I like a little gloss.

I got some of the Surf City Tire Pro with my last order and I'm LOVING it. Thanks for all the input.

What kinda finish did it leave? How many coats did you apply? Let us know how long it lasts.

Wolfgang works for me. You can apply very light, it absorbs into the rubber and leaves a nice shine but not over the top. Very little sling if any--after waiting an hour for it to set up.
The bottle will last forever too.

I applied 1 coat of SC Tire Pro with a foam applicator - the product is VERY thin and little goes a long way, I dribbled a little on the applicator and that was enough. I spread it out, and let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes, then wiped off the excess with an old mf. The best way to describe the finish is CLEAN... the tires were a nice deep black, they had some sheen but not an unnatural one, and best of all IMHO, the feel clean to the touch, no greasy mess. As for durability, I may never know. It last longer than a week but seeing is takes so little product, I reapplied after a week. It did survive one mid-week wash nicely as well as a few days of rain.

MacDaddy,

The SC Tire Pro sounds identical to the Wolfgang Diamond Black Gel. Very thin, easy to apply with the same clean appearance.

Wondering if anyone has tried both and found similar results?

I have tried many tire dressings over the years. I'm convinced that all of them sling a little. My favorite is a mix of 2 very good products. I like clear dressings. So I add to any clean dressing, Meg's High gloss Dressing. (the purple stuff ) Sprayed or wiped on depending on the tire texture. It drys fast and very minimal sling. If the tries are cleaned good first with a degreaser any sling will be clear and not dark or the color of the dressing. eg blue, red purple etc.

Tire dressing!

I prefere a mix of any clear dressing and Meg's High Gloss Dressing (the purple stuff) The sling is minimal to me.

I use both. The WG is more of a gel, while the SC is more watery. I feel that less SC is needed to get full, even coverage. The SC is a bit more matte and less glossy.

I love BnB, but it doesn't hold up for me in the rainy season.

good ole' AA tire foam and/or the tire shine gel as well. inexpensive, easy to find, and looks good...
