What's the most affordable one to buy that is dependable as well and does a nice job at removing stains and dirt?

Anything between 700 to 900 is affordable to my budget.

I guess it wasn't as good as the mytee lite then

See if you can get a used one. They are so easy to work on and parts are cheap.I bought a used thermax for 300 and needed a new motor for 240.That thermax runs 2500 dollars all day long.

I recently purchased a Sandia Indy 3 Gallon Portable Hot Water Extractor w/ Inline Heater. Paid $650, works very well.

The Mytee Lite is 50-70% of the price of comparable extractors. Some people review them as being great, some people seem to have constant problems and difficulty with warranty/tech support. It seems the people who only use them occasionally have better luck than the people who use them every day. Arguably you get what you pay for, but they've changed the design recently so maybe they have addressed some of the issues.
