Is 3M Adhesive Cleaner safe for removing Plasti-Dip off clear coated wheels? I used Goo-Gone but there are still residue left. The 3M has deal for buy one get one currently.

The 3M Adhesive Cleaner should be potent enough for removing it.

If not, find a local paint shop and pick up a wax and grease remover or a light duty paint thinner.

Why did you have to use a remover? Plasti dip is designed to simply peel off.

I have read that if Plasti-dip is not applied correctly, mainly if too few layers are done, it is difficult to remove. With that being said, you still should not need any chemicals to do it. If plasti-dip is too tin, it will not come off as a sheet, it will break into small pieces so it takes longer to remove but it will still come off without needing any chemical.
