Whats your opinion on OTC bug cleaners ?
I'm not looking for the "Best" just something that acceptable to AG standards :)

I don't have time to order any thing from AG...just looking for something I might find local.
Good old Megs Gold car wash, warm water with a bug sponge ??

Thanks

Home Depot sprayway foaming glass cleaner.2.39 a can gentle on paint and effective removing bugs.might have to agitate a little as well as some dwell time.with all these non coated grills on newer cars you can't just go and saturate, you will etch the plastics with a harsh chemical.Did a 16 Lexus suv the big one in black.used sprayway on mirrors the whole front grill and pillars totally safe in 90 degree heat in south fla.

Tarminator, some local auto parts stores carry it. Works great on bugs and tar. I've even used WD40 without any problems when I was out of my normal cleaner.

I used Tarminator once on my wheel wells and it didn't play well with that black plastic.
It left a white residue on them and it will not come off..almost like it ate into it.
Ill start with the least aggressive and work my way up...the bugs aren't to bad, just a lot of them this time of year.

Did you wash the area after you had used it? I always wash an area after using a more of an aggressive cleaner to get any of the residue off.

I believe TW makes a spray on bug remover that is good. I have a bottle or two. And it leaves wax behind.

Did you spray the Tarminator on your wheels when they were still warm? Or maybe let it dwell too long?

Most times we find that the chemicals arent the problem its usually the application/procedures people use. Not saying you are wrong just what we normally see.

•Poultice made from bar of Ivory Soap/Water
•Mineral Spirits
•Kerosene
•Diesel Fuel
