Do I need to tape before using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant?
I don’t want to turn my rubber trim white or get white residue in
the little cracks and crevices I have worked hard to keep clean.

Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim,

You should not need to tape off any trim. I used to use the spritz sealant as a QD on my daily and never had issues with staining trim. Instead of spraying on the panel you could spray it directly on to a MF and then spread over the paint, and use your second MF to buff it off.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgang-deep-gloss-spritz-sealant.html)

Directions: (taken from Autogeek link above)

To apply, mist the paint with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant. Immediately spread the sealant over the section with a microfiber applicator pad or towel.
Use a dry microfiber towel to buff the section to a glassy shine. Continue in this manner until you’ve applied sealant to the entire vehicle.
You can also apply the sealant to glass, metal, and nonporous plastic for the same long-lasting protection.

So if I bump the rubber trim I will be ok?

Nope, no taping is needed at all and absolutely no white residue.

It is a very nice product that is very easy to use.

Thank you all so much!!!!! Hate to see the
white stains or residue in cracks.
