Do I need to tape before using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant?
I don’t want to turn my rubber trim white or get white residue in
the little cracks and crevices I have worked hard to keep clean.

Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim,

You should not need to tape off any trim. I used to use the spritz sealant as a QD on my daily and never had issues with staining trim. Instead of spraying on the panel you could spray it directly on to a MF and then spread over the paint, and use your second MF to buff it off.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant

Directions: (taken from Autogeek link above)

  1. To apply, mist the paint with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant. Immediately spread the sealant over the section with a microfiber applicator pad or towel.
  2. Use a dry microfiber towel to buff the section to a glassy shine. Continue in this manner until you’ve applied sealant to the entire vehicle.
  3. You can also apply the sealant to glass, metal, and nonporous plastic for the same long-lasting protection.

So if I bump the rubber trim I will be ok?

Jim

Nope, no taping is needed at all and absolutely no white residue.

It is a very nice product that is very easy to use.

Thank you all so much!!!!! Hate to see the
white stains or residue in cracks.

Jim
