i have a HF rotary and cannot fit my D/A backing plate to the screw or w.e that is on the rotary... there is a bag of other fittings of screws to attach to the backing plate but cannot figure out how to take that wrong sized one off. Can someone help me?!

D/A (PC I'm guessing) use a completely different backing plate than a rotary.

You will have to buy another one for the rotary.

I believe though, that there is an adapter out there that will let you but to me, the plate would be to far out for my liking.

Justin is there another one where you found that with 5/8" female? I think that's what he would need.

Yeah that one is for a DA to convert it to rotary BPs. Just a word of caution, make sure these are extremely tight because they may loosen during use... I personally wouldn't trust it and would buy the right products for the right tools.

Rotaries use a different backing plate, you will need to purchase another one. The extra screws you mentioned are probably the ones needed to attach the handle on the head of the machine.

didnt your HF rotary come with a backing plate? i know mine did
