i have a job coming up of detailing a 2005 dark red car that has water spots almost baked into the paint. i was thinking about using a moderate compound to try to remove the spots before putting a layer of wax on it. Any suggestions for an easy to remove the spots maybe a polish of some sort??
Thanks for you help guys

water spots, often from acid rain are tricky. If immediately caught, vinegar usually removes them. If a week or less in the right environment and a paint polish removes them. Much longer or harder weather and wet-sanding becomes the option. These buggers etch paint quickly.

Water spots are removed with an acid or a polish with sour PH, you could basically use lemon.
