Hey everyone...
I am a long time lurker / stalker of the forums and thought I'd finally join today. 1st post so go easy on me. ;)
I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4WD (single cab). I regularly wash / wax it, but neglected the wax / polish for a period of approx. 8 months.
Moved to Arizona from Wisconsin and didn't have a place of our own while we were camped out with the in-laws. It sat outside with no garage access for that time period.
I took it upon myself to spend the bulk of last weekend on the truck. On the driver's side pillar adjacent to the door on the cab, I noticed this odd residue of sorts. It is a white, milky film of some sort isolated to this small section of this panel and also in certain areas along the passenger side bed of the truck. I don't want to run the risk of damaging the paint or clearcoat. I am inquiring if any of you experts have seen anything like this and/or what could be utilized to help remove it? I've tried re-washing these sections of the truck and also tried a couple of different cleaner waxes. I also utilized a clay bar on these sections, but it doesn't have any effect on this residue.
My apologies for the poor photo, but this is essentially the best that I could do to capture what is occurring on this paint. It is best viewed on this photo near the upper right portion of the 'reflection' on this photo where you can see the white residue. I don't know if this is the right section of the forum to post this, please feel free to move this thread, if need be. Have any of you seen anything like this before?
