Between the Vacmaster Beast and comparable Rigid shop-vacs, which one do you like the best for auto detailing, and why? What are the pros and cons of each, with the price being relatively the same?

Thanks :xyxthumbs:

Never used a Vacmaster but I am on my second Rigid Vac in 7 years. I think it's great.

Might want to compare specs, the higher the HP rating, the better. In my case I have a 5 HP unit. Rigid has a 6.5 HP available but I am mobile and the container size on the 6.5 HP unit is gigantic so I went with the smaller unit.

If you decide to go with Rigid, make sure to get the auto detailing accessory kit with the nicer, longer hose, and car brushes and crevice tool.

I've had a rigid since 2006 and it's still going strong

I've had multiple Ridgid 6.5HP models which I use for everything, including yardwork. No issues.

I'm definitely more familiar with Rigid than I am Vacmaster, but I stumbled across some YouTube videos, and the Vacmaster Beast looked pretty impressive. While I like the look, lifetime warranty, and some functions of the Rigid better, overall the Vacmaster Beast seemed to live up to its name - a Beast! That's why I'm asking about these two in particular.

I have this Ridgid and I’ve been really happy with it. I sometimes use it with a 13’ foot 2.5” hose and I’ve never noticed a decrease in suction or blowing power like that vid says...
