If My cars black paint is in excellent shape as far as swirls, marring, and things like that can using a medium polish followed by a finishing polish still be beneficial to increase "clarity"?? I've been thinking about this a while.

Is visible swirls and marring the only thing worth polishing for? If you have jeweled paint would using a medium polish on it actually degrade the condition of the paint? Working backwards?

The reason I think polishing may still be beneficial is that when I bought my car 3 years ago and started detailing I swear the orange peel was A LOT worse on these 2 particular panels. I think polishing increased the clarity and reduced orange peel.

What do you guys think?

Yeah Im gonna try it on the door but IDK if it's even possible? I have color match lights but It's still hard to tell whats going on.

I did try this and it did make the paint look alot worse. Even the finishing polish made the paint worse. It cleared up with ultrafine polish thank God but had no actual benefit under the color match lights.

Hyper polish made it worse? First time Ive heard of it hurting the paint, well I should say first time I heard it making it look worse.

I was referring to my original post and thread topic. I dont even own hyper polish. I'm using the rupes bigfoot polish line.
