Why do you worry about it?

I see this asked on the forums, in classes I attend and when we hold classes at our shop. Is it hard paint or is it soft? Also I see a lot of people saying this brand is hard or all these I’ve done are soft. Folks, you don’t know what kind of paint it is until you start working on it! Now, as far as the hard or soft thing. I don’t believe in worrying about that. I prefer to keep it simple, it is either difficult to correct or not. If I’m having trouble, I figure out why. Is the paint fully decontaminated, is my pad and liquid correct or do I need to step up the aggressiveness. Or, is the paint residue overwhelming the pad. It doesn’t matter what the car is or what the paint is. You just need to spend time on learning technique, and the product and machines you use. And why things do what they do. Sounds complicated but it very easy if you understand the basics. Just my 2 cents.
