Finally had some time to do a proper clean of the 1st gen Camaro today.

Used McKee's N-914 as Rinseless Wash, and as a Waterless Wash on the wheels
Chemical Guys VRP on the convertible top and the tires
Some brands not on AG for cleaning the top, glass and a layer of ceramic liquid wax

First time buying N-914 and was quite happy with it. Very nice lubrication, and doesn't contain any gloss enhancers so plays well with the coating.

Sorry for the iPhone photos / clips:

Beautiful car Hambo! I’m particularly fond of the ‘67’s and that all original look you’ve gone with.

Great work, and gorgeous car. The paint and top look perfect. But what grabbed my attention first were the wheels and tires.

My uncle also has a red with black stripe convertible. 67's don't get the recognition they deserve.

Looking really sweet! What Motor, 327?

I had a '68 SS396, all stock, Lemans Blue, the works. Didn't have the RS Option though.

Stock Wheels and Tires on all Camaros of that era are supposed to have 14's, with the exception of the Z-28 model.
My '68 SS396 had 15's though. Probably Vette Ralleye Wheels but with Camaro Center Caps.

Nice Camaro ! Based on the backup lights beneath the rear bumper, the hidden headlights, grille, and the chrome wheel well and lower body moldings, that's an RS/SS, the creme de la creme ! Combine those option packages with the low production number for convertibles and you have a fairly rare beast. What happened to its original 350 engine ?

Thanks! Wish I knew where the original engine were. I got the car about two years ago, and original motor was already long gone. At least per the trim tag in the engine bay, it was originally a 396. I actually managed to find locally a 396 block from a very similar 67 Camaro, but the cost of rebuilding it and swapping it in didn't seem worth it.

It would be interesting to decode your VIN number. RS/SS+convertible+396 = even lower production numbers.

Really nice. :dblthumb:

The first generation Camaros are one of my all time favorite muscle card - especially when there sporting a Big Block Chevy!

Thanks for sharing.

I have a 1967 Camaro detail coming up in a few weeks.

Yep, I went through all the VIN and engine codes when I bought the car. Happy to share, feel free to send me a PM if you're interested.
