Can we copy links from others gallery's to use as reference materials for new threads?

A while back I was really fortunate to have Mike walk me through the procedure for uploading photos to the forum and for creating a new gallery.

This was a tremendous help to me and opened my eyes to a world of learning possibilities!

After you upload your photos to your gallery you can actually use the links from your photos in your gallery to help tell your story, or ask your question, visually!

Yes, with a little practice you too will be uploading and creating threads like a pro!

My question to Mike or any other administrative authority is, can we use other members photo links as reference materials and if so what would be a good procedure for giving the proper credit?

I’m not Mike; nor do I have any administrative
authority...but, so far, this is how I have given
proper credit—whenever I have used a fellow AGO
member’s pictures/photo links—without a hitch or
in violation of AGO’s forum rules, I will add.

•“Someday I’m going to break down and buy
an LED torch (as seen in the below picture)
for use as a ‘swirl finder’”.

-“Being that I’m on a fixed income, does anyone
have any suggestions where I can find one on
the cheap? TIA”.

That's pretty legit! Thanks for the info and procedure! I will definitely use this format!

The light in the pic is actually the Speedmaster Swirlfinder Light.
