When it's time to recoat, how do you go about removing the old from the vinyl without damaging it with a compound or other?
I'm contemplating trying a coating instead of a sealant this year. Just nervous about my first one and the consequences.
Please feel free to recommend a coating also.
Thanks

I would had apply a polish to the vinyl followed up by a good APC diluted on the stronger side and see where you are[emoji362][emoji848][emoji118]

If its gloss vinyl a light polish is fine. Matte vinyl can be a little tricky as polishing will gloss it up. If you want to recoat matte vinyl, prep wipe and re-coat.

Its satin vinyl.
When you say prep wipe do you mean something like GTechniq Panel Wipe or Optimum Paint Prep?

Yes that’s what I mean.
Gtechniq, Cquartz and Gyeon have vinyl specific coatings which are suitable for matte/satin.
