New to the forum here please bear with me. I bought a used 2018 Kia Stinger with 28k miles on it. The paint doesn't seem bad but its nothing special either. (normal dealer and automated wash swirls).
I'm going to wash, clay, swirl remove with VSS (if needed), Blacklight, extreme top coat sealant, 3x paste wax. Now my question is the extreme top coat really helpful in this situation or is it more of an all in one and I should choose something else? The description of it is pretty confusing.
I have VSS and Blacklight already. I am not really set to using CG that's just what I know. If someone would suggest something in the same price range I would be open to that as well.
I'm also no opposed to doing a ceramic coat instead of the blacklight glaze but I'm not sure what to use to get the proper correction. Maybe I'm way overthinking this lol.
Thanks

Chemical Guys has spiffy marketing....
I would look into ceramic coating your car. Lot of good options depending on your needs. The hybrid ceramic sprays from Meguiars and TW have good durability and easy to use. If you want to get more serious then look into Carpro, Gtechniq, Gyeon. These are all reputable companies with a range of coatings. Unfortunately, none of these are "stripper" scented...

In my opinion you are way way way over thinking this. There’s no reason to do anything except wash ,clay, polish the car and put on a sealant ,even one coat will work fine, do that every three or four months and the car will be great. Too many companies have put out instructions like a shampoo; lather /rinse /repeat, no reason to repeat…

I completely understand. Would you please recommend a polish and a sealant for me to use? I'll just continue to overthink these lol. Please and thank you. Brand does not matter to me.

Look at the Mike Phillips product testing section for 303 graphene spray. It’s easy to put on , it works extremely well. I now have it on three cars going on three months and it’s still amazing gloss.

Found it:

Review: 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating

For a good polish on a car that’s in good shape, try blackfire one step. Or Meguires 205

There are thousands of members on this forum and hundreds of polishes and sealants available here. When generically asking for a product recommendation you will get responses for most of the products available from many different members. We all have our own favorites.

Therefore my suggestion is to pick some products from a brand you trust and go with it. Any name brand product may have its own minor pros and cons, but the reality is that any of them will provide pretty good results.

This is true.

If you don't want any more confusion, just read up on any products that interest you, narrow it down to 1-2, and then maybe ask about those.

Blindly asking about products here is a no-win. Lol

(BTW, welcome to the forum!!)

welcome to the forum....

There so many good products that would suit your need.

If the question was "whats your favorite ?" then currently mine would be...

3D Speed as an AIO
Menzerna 2400 (Blackfire Polish) as a medium polish
CarPro reflect as a fine polish
303 Graphene as a spray coating

3D One as a hybrid compound/polish
CarPro Essence Xtreme Gloss Enhancer (not Essence Plus) as a light polish/Glaze or as a primer to CQUK
CQUK or TACSYSTEM UHS ULTRA (no US distributor currently) as a Multi-year Coating
CarPro SIC or TACSYSTEM Moonlight (no US distributor currently) as a topper

The Griots BOSS creams are great and popular around here. If you need some decent cut their Correcting Cream.

If light swirls i would recommend CArProEssence, especially if your doing a coating.

If you have proper wash techniques and want 2+ years protection one of the standard coatings would be fine.

If looking for something easier and want to replace yearly I’d recommend a coating lite.

I’ve used Gyeon CanCoat, Tacs System Moonlight and Adam’s graphene spray coating and would highly recommend all three.

Other options would be CarPro Cquartz lite and PBL surface coating.

I would use blackfire ONE Step....It cleans...polishes and protects....you use it by hand or machine....if your paint feels rough you might want to clay it...a lot of people use One step...then you can top it with blackfire SIO2 paint sealant easy on and off

Thank you everyone for your input! Definitely going to need to do some more research on this lol.
