Hey guys, I just wanted to alert you all to a tire black-vinyl treatment this is pretty darned good! I have no affiliation with Yamaha whatsoever, I actually stumbled across the product to use on my boat's vinyl. I gave it a shot on my tires and was very surprised. It makes them a deep black, without the great oily look, and it lasts! I just heard that it may be discontinued. Maybe if you guys give it shot, and like it. They will reconsider.

First thing that comes to mind is why would they discontinue if it's that good?

Knowing Yamaha like I do (30+ years in the marine industry), I'm sure it is a good product.

But like everything else they sell, it is most likely 1 1/2 times the price of other similar products.

I'd gladly pay extra for a Yamaha outboard. They just do not fail. But for vinyl cleaner? Yama-Nope. ;)

I wonder if it's a repackaged product. Duragloss 253?

Make no mistake, it is that good. I'm pretty sure they didn't market it for automotive use. I don't even think they marketed it for boat use. I became aware of it through a motorcycle ad! I bought it for my boat (knowing the quality of Yamaha products) and gave it a shot. I was impressed. In fact, since I heard it may be discontinued, I just ordered 2 more bottles.

Post some pics!!

This is the only one I have right now, don't know if it really tells you anything. The boat had just came out of the water.

Nice rigs. :xyxthumbs: What's running the boat?

Thanks for the compliment Paul! It's powered by Yamaha Rsurfer!

It’s a 4 stroke v6 Yamaha SHO, I have one on my bass boat and it’s a reliable beast

Yamaha has been on the top of the outboard engine market for decades.

And it's not just a "Japanese" thing. Honda outboards are plagued with problems.

200-250 but op most likely has a 250, mine is a 225

Mercury Marine now have v8’s from 200- 450, 66k gets you a 450R

:wowwow: Your choice a new car or a outboard motor.

I guess if you have a boat that can handle two 450 hp, you can afford 130 grand for some outboard engines.

Mercury has a 600hp 7.6L V-12 outboard.

It weighs in at 1,260lbs, and will set you back a mere 77k. ;)
