I just got a detail shceduled for sunday, but it is the first convertible I have done so I need to purchase a product for it. (correct? A regualr carwash soap will not do a suficient job?)
Now RaggTop is on sale for $10 but 303 is only $8, is one better than the other? Is it worth it for me to buy one of the products if I rarely do convertibles?

Thanks guys and galls.

I can tell you we sell a ton of Raggtopp, it is a wonderful product, not taking away from 303 but we find that people use the 303 Protectant more on other areas of the vehicle.

Thanks Meghan, if I will be order it today, what are the chances of it getting to me by saturday?

Ragtopp is preferred on the Corvetteforum, all have fabric tops !

You're talking about a cleaning product, not a protectant?

On my Jeep top, I just wash it like I do the rest of the vehicle. As long as it's washed regularly I see no need for a special cleaner.

I use the 303 Aerospace (not the 303 Fabric Guard) as a protectant. The top is made by Bestop, so I don't know if the factory one is the same material (I got the hard top from the factory).

The couple of convertibles I've done were cleaned with ARO...it did an amazing job. It was treated with 303 after it dried. Very nice look, good protection.

I think I am going to just try the normal soap, I don't do too many convertables so.

I've not used RaggTop, but I do have experience with 303 and I was amazed at how much dirt it was able to remove. I think that essentially, you're comparing two very good products.

Good luck with your detail - convertibles are fun because the polish and LSP processes seem to go so quickly!

I have always used 303, for my convertible top products.
Just make sure you cover the bottom part of the top with some towels and or tape. So the pad doesn't mark it up, while polishing around it.
