After years of buying the family a car(s) and driving my truck for the last 14 years, I am now ready to get myself a new (or slightly used) car.

What I am getting is a 2008 or 2007 BMW Z4M Coupe'.

We, the wife and I already have a non-M Black Z4 roadster (sig pic) and I don't want another black car... I spend enough time detailing that one.....:xyxthumbs:
Don't get me wrong. I really enjoy detailing the cars. Wash, IPA, clay, polish (w/PC), sealer, wax etc. etc.

Since this vehicle will be my daily driver, I am looking for a color that will hold up well, be easier to maintain and hide imperfections better before I can get to correcting them.

It will also have to sit outside since her Zed is kept in the garage....

I have all the major equipment to detail a car (bought here..). Wash once a week or so and wax monthly.

What is everyone's thoughts on this subject? I keep a vehicle a long time so I may have this one for five years or more.

The colors I am interested in are these and in no particular order.... not the greatest pictures.

Imola Red

Oh, we are keeping her Zed. A 2003. She loves that car....:cruisin:

Love the blue and the white. I'm actually a really big red sports car fan, but I don't like that red. Blue and white are beautiful.

Sepang Bronze Metallic

Never seen a bimmer with that color before. From there you can really stand out from the rest of the bimmer colors (silver, white, black). Also, is alpine white, flat white or no metallic paint? If metallic, that would be my second choice. Good luck!

I like the Sepang Bronze also, but it is a hard color to find. There are only 1815 Z4M Coupe's in the US.....

To your question, the lighter colors are going to be "easier" to maintain. White, Silver or gray would be my choices based on your question with the Silver and then gray being my top choices for my tastes.

Space Gray Metallic or Interlagos Blue

I also keep my cars for a long time and that's why I love black. They always look great when clean. I have 3 black cars - 98 Spyder Eclipse GST Conv and my new 09 Cayman with a black Max in between. If I were you I would go with the white. It really looks sharp in that color. Good luck, enjoy the car.

Blue, one of the iconic colors for M cars, and it looks great!

Well, based on your question above .... the answer is the exact opposite as of how you posted your favorite colors. Maybe the blue would be harder then the red.

TiAg will hide just about anything, if you are truly looking for the above it is the best solution.

My Bimmer is TiAg, not the best looking color but it will hold up to the daily driving in South Florida on I-95.

Love that blue, would love to eventually have a Jerez Black M when I can keep up the finish.

Lighter colors would be easier, but there is nothing like a nicely waxed black vehicle!

Love the blue, but since it's outside and the DD, I vote white or space gray

that car looks smokin in white.....the only way I would go, I've owned a number of black cars.......yea they look great, but it's sure hard to keep it that way

If you want a color that will be the hardest to see swirls and scratches in the paint, go for any of the silver metallics.

:)

definitely go with silver...blue is just as bad as black at hiding imperfections
