can you mix and match pads

Hi all,

I recently got a PC 7424XP with a LC 5" backing pad along with 2 white and 2 grey pads. I think they are flat pads. Can I just buy any pads like meguiars or adams pads and use it with the LC backing pad?

I am also new to detailing and never used a polisher before. I heard that Meguiars products are real user friendly when using a polisher.

You can use any pad that you want. If you have a velcro backing plate then you can use any pad that has a velcro back. As far as types of pads... there are many of those. You can use whatever types of pads that you want. Most of us have a variety of pads from a variety of manufacturers. The first rule that you should learn is that you never want to marry yourself to one particular brand or manufacturer. As soon as you do that, someone will come up with something more effective and you'll miss out because of narrow mindedness. Anyway, embrace all brands and manufacturers and use what works for you regardless of who makes it or what color it is. ;)
 
thanks for the info I think I will tru the Meguiars pads and waxes
