98? Tacoma Shop Truck with 280K on the clock!

This is the shop truck at Schiets Motorsports, the bike shop i work at part time.

its a late 90's, a 98 i think, Toyota Tacoma SR5 with a lil over 283K on the ODO.

This truck is still about 99% original.

Original clutch, tranny, motor, motor internals, its basically the same as it was at 10K. Just had the routine maintenance.

One thing that has kept the tranny good, is that its a manual tranny. This truck has almost all these miles pulling trailers. So, if i had to say, these trucks are BEASTS!! I would love to own one!

headlights have enver been touched. the truck gets washed maybe once a month at the absolute best. and its only washed at the pressure wash or no-touch wash.

I used a 4" Cyclo Yellow pad with Megs 105. For now i finished with a wipe of Megs PlastX, i have Wolfgang Lens Sealant on the way, so ill put that on it when i get it! I've always used sandpaper b/c i never had a polish aggressive enough to really eat this crap away, but now that i have 105, thats all ill really ever need. If it cleaned up these headlights, i think it can clean up any headlights!!

thx. took me all but a half hour at the most to do both. just be careful of the mold knobs on the front of them, they will tear up the pads a lil bit. go around them and try not to go over them.

That body style Tacoma is the best, IMO. I had an '03 extended cab Pre-Runner I purchased new. Man I wish I still had that truck. Its not uncommon at all to see those with well over 200k miles. There's a reason why they command such a high resale price.
