M105 followed by M205

The other day when i polished out my G35 i used the M105/205 combo.

I did the trunk lid with the M105 w/orange LC using PC7424. I then taped 50/50 and did one side of the trunk with M205 w/white LC. Did 6 section passes with M205. started at speed 5 and started letting off pressure around the 4th section pass.

After removing the tape, i could not tell the difference between either side. i looked using the above fluorescent, swirl finder light, and halogen spot lights. The polishing step seems kinda insignificant after seeming this.

I still proceeded to polish the whole car of course, but what do you all think?
 
On some cars I can finish 105 lsp ready, just depends on the paint system and your skills, so you might not of needed a finishing step, but it was probably better you hit the rest of the car with 205 just incase you didn't catch something with your lights on the rest of the car
 
I have heard people say that those Nissans have soft paint, but every now and then I polish one that is as hard as a rock. See my video on the G37S I recently did. That paint was on the medium side, but certanly not "soft."

Every car is different, but I usually find a benefit using M205. I don't find a benefit often following it up with 85rd or Ultrafina. I just finished a Solstice where I did find a difference, so who knows? Every car is different.
 
I guess this is the importance if the test spot huh?!
