I just bought a 2007 Saab 9-3. Its Chili Red w/ Parchment (beige) leather seats. Its not in bad shape but it wasn't pampered. Also there is some road rash on the hood / front bumper. I have never been much of a detailing nut but I have always owed silver cars and I just think red cars look better if kept clean.

What should I do? Wash, clay, polish, wax? What about trim, wheels & tires, glass, interior etc. and what products should I use? Should I try to repair the road rash myself or is that a recipe for ugly?

Keep in mind its a nice car (to me anyway) but its still just a $14,000 used car and not a Porsche. Please recommend a process and products suitable to my experience level not too terribly expensive.

Many thanks....Mike
