Do you think that steam cleaning the interior is a good method to use? I am just worried about ruining the electronics inside the dashboard and other components. suggestions?

If you have a quality steamer it will be fine. A good vapor steamer creates a mostly dry vapor instead of a really wet vapor that some cheaper units create.

Using steam for the interior is quite safe. Quality vapor steamers are typically 95% steam and only 5% moisture. Avoid pointing the steam directly into electronics. We've been using steam for over 2 years in our detailing and haven't had a singe issue.

You have never removed the color on a vinyl panel? Even a re-dye?

Nope! Never have. We have talked with many other detailers who have and found out it's all in technique and how you use it. It does take a little time to get the process down, but once you do, it can't be beat. Proper training is really the best way to go when using a steamer. We use it throughout the interior process with great results.
