Hi,
this is my 2nd tread. I'm still new here and just detailed my car.
Even though I didn't get the best results yet, I would like to know who to keep the the Paint in the best shape till I try again.

My Question is: How do I remove the dust when the car was parked on the side of the street the day after detailing?
With a dry soft fleece rag ? A Mircrofiber rag or is it better to wipe the car of with detailer spray ?

A waterless wash product or rinseless wash product would be ideal.

Ok, s to wipe of the dust with a soft rag would scratch the surface ?

if it's just light dust you could get away with a high quality QD...however if it gets bad i would use an ONR wash or a WW. Ultima etc... I would def use microfiber, but a paint safe one at that, but use multiple ones and continue to fold them to a clean side. Also make sure when doing a QD or wash shortly after detailing that your wax or sealant has had ample amount of time to cure.

Thanks for the tips so far.. now as a rookie I will probably need a list for the abbreviations . Don't even know what a QD or ONR is.. does somebody have a link ?

There are many ways to get the dirt off your freshly detailed vehicle. In Summer or any season I usually grab the hose......spray the car down and blow it off with my power blower. Then I take Zaino six detail spray and begin wiping the sides top to bottom and the tops opposite the way you are used to wiping it. Then you are done. You will get all opinions here....DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU! I know this works for me. Over 35 years!!! No guesswork here. Use a soft clean WHITe cotton cloth....it could be from your home linen closet if you like.....soft. Dont tell your wife.

I dont know where to start the new post so for the record, I put the NEW FLEX 3403 VRG polisher to work today.....put out TWO straight exteriors Today WITH REDUCED FATIGUE of over 70 percent. This polisher is as light as a feather......THANK YOU FLEX Finally a machine that doesnt break my back. After 38 years in the business finally a machine that will enable me to work into my later years! Thanks again FLEX......I cant say enough about this effective powerful featherlight machine. I am throwing my Hitachi and the Makita out. Not because they are bad machines, but because my back is of paramount importance!!
