DA pads with rotary

I bought a kit that came with a PC7424xp, a backing plate and 5.5 inch CCS pads, now I am thinking about getting a rotary. Can I just buy a polisher and backing plate and use the 5.5 inch pads that came with PC kit?

I searched the forums but didn't find an answer
