Greetings! Would like your feedback on which products and combinations would be best on our new family edition, seen below. She came into our world last night and is just a babe. Over the coming weeks we’ll get her windows tinted and add the various extras (mud flaps, underbody spoilers, better tires and wheels), then she’ll be our hot sexy ride…

2012 Honda Civic LX Coupe
Rallye Red (non-metallic)

Help me decide on which sealants, waxes and toppers to help me transform this little girl to the sexy hot 20-something that she’s capable of becoming… Oh, yeah, she is a daily driver and will be garaged each night with her siblings. She will be bathed and pampered at least once a week.

Here is what I have, so you can skip recs on the prep’ing:
Mezerna componds, polishes and glaze
IronX and clay
WG 3.0 and Blackfire (last year’s version) sealants
Various spray sealant toppers (HGAS, WG, BF, Z8)

Please give me your ideas on which NEW combos I should get to really do justice to this color !!!!! (I have budgeted a couple hundred bucks for new chemicals for the car)

Thanks in advance for your help…
JeffW

Pinnacle Souveran for a deep, wet shine...

This 1954 has a basecoat/clearcoat finish just like your Honda...

I have been using DP Max Wax a lot lately and I really like it. Easy to work with. It's on BOGO again as well.

DP Max Wax- Made with pure carnauba wax and advanced polymers. (http://www.autogeek.net/carnauba-car-wax.html)

Mike, Cougar... thanks for the recs. Have used, and liked, Max Wax before. Might be time to ck out Pinnacle Souveran.

Want sealant do you guys rec to go on under the wax, if any, to max the deepness?

I like Griot's paint sealant and I've tried a sample of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 and I really liked that as well. Sorry, but I haven't used any others.

Thanks for the replies... I was hoping for some more input, but, hey, what I got was great!

Any other ideas for waxes or sealants to really add wetness, gloss and depth to the car? I am leaning towards UPP and Max Wax (Pinn Souveran is out of stock).

Thoughts?

If you feel like putting a 'wax' atop of a sealant (such as WGDGPS), I'll suggest:
Good ol' Meguiar's #26...It will not mute/gray the underlying sealant; or the vehicle's top-coat paint film (CC)...And it's readily available!

There's a ton of products out there but IIRC some people have compared the new Griot's caranuba to the Pinnacle Souvern, might be something to give a try, been using Griot's for years and IMO, all their products produce the results!

BTW, you adding JDM badges to the new Civic?

Klasse Act- Not sure, have not seen any for 2012 Civic yet. Likely at some point, tho.
