So today I got a call with a request to polish a bathtub. <- I know right?

Im pretty sure the tub is fiberglass and has a gel coat finish like most do.. So could you treat this like polishing gel coats on fiberglass boats? Any input?

Get a good lawyer, when they fall because the bathtub was polished.

I've buffed a few bathtubs that were all scratched up from someone cleaning them with the green scrubbies. They were fiberglass and I treated them just as I do boats or fiberglass buses. Don't wax or seal them and they don't get really all that slick.

hahaha i was gonna post some pictures of my tub which i polised and sealed w/ carpro reload.

t dave is right, the brush is just sitting on top and not attached. The thread does not fit perfectly. I can only get 2 turns in and it stopped. I did forced it a little and it kinda work ;) though not perfect. So what kind of brush do i need for the flex or should i get the PC?

You might be doing irreparable damage to the threads on your Flex by running that brush on it having the wrong threads. I'd hate to see you destroy it is all. Sorry for the thread highjack.

I haven't seen it, I would hope he just wants the surrounding areas done. You wouldn't want to do the floor of the tub right?

The tubs that I did were a smooth glossy gel coat (even the floor) that looked kind of like marble or granite. The things were completely scratched up so even the floor of the tubs were buffed out. The friend that I did it for was extremely pleased with the outcome and has never had any complaints from his tenants about the tubs being too slick. They are now just as they were when they were new.
