The lower panels on my fordescape are faded am using Detailer's Cleanse-All Exterior Cleaner DP Cleanse-All Exterior Cleaner works as a bug & tar remover, a wheel cleaner, a tire cleaner, an engine degreaser, a convertible top cleaner, a vinyl (http://www.autogeek.net/dp320.html) followed by pre-wow Pre-WOW Pre-Cleaner by Black WOW, black wow trim cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/pre-wow-trim-pre-cleaner.html) then wow Black WOW Exterior Trim Restorer, black trim dressing, restore black rubber trim, Mini trim (http://www.autogeek.net/black-wow-trim-restorer.html).

Rince and dry between products

still have some grey patches coming through think there might still be polish/wax/sealants on the surface causing problems.

once I get it done will all I have to do is black wow it every couple months?

or will I have to comtinue to scrub these panels?

:welcome: To Autogeek Online James!!

Occasionally scrubbing unpainted plastic trim and panels with an all purpose cleaner.

Sometimes a deeper clean my be required. Using a product like Klean Strip Prep-All will dissolve and remove grease, oil, silicone's making it ready to a protective treatment.

Rinse thoroughly, dry, and treat by applying a product like CarPro PERL or Ultima Tire & Trim Guard to give it a rich even appearance.

Tire Treatment - CarPro PERL (http://www.autogeek.net/perl-coat-protectant.html)
Trim - Ultima Tire and Trim Guard (http://www.autogeek.net/ultima-tire-trim-guard.html)

I have had good luck cleaning the plastic parts and using Meguiars ultimate trim restorer, it seems to do a great job of bringing plastic color back on wiper cowls and body trim parts, as well as elimination of wax staining. It is fairly shiny however, I am not sure if that is appropriate for you.

I've seen some people use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get rid of the grey followed by your choice of trim restorer. I use UTTG+ as Bobby recommended above.

Hmmm Klean-Strip AutoŽ (http://www.wmbarr.com/ksauto/default.aspx) you have to inform the epa how much you use :surrender::surrender:

I've been scrubbing down using magic eraser(s), cheep generic ones from wallmart, the dp allpurpose cleaner seems to eat them. wonder who came up with the idea to make a higher dencity sponge and charge 5 times the price of a regular one.

Looks like the method I'm using now is good - will try out diffrent cleaners/protectants as my suples run out.
