Atomic bird poop video....The proof is in the poop.

Ok...makes sense...cuz it's hard like enamel...do u think it will come off

Well I will have a better idea tomorrow morning how to attack that mess.

No. It's not going anywhere. Proceed to your next step

Ask your customer if they've been parking in an old parking garage

Are u thinking it's calcium chloride that dropped on the paint? I will ask her in the morning.

Tommorow morning you will have the same problem. Nothing is going to change over night. What you need to do now is move on to another area of the car and quit wasting time on something that can't be repaired (unless you repaint it)

I dunno Flash, I think if that was parking garage runoff it would have run down toward the front bumper, but intsead it has splashed back toward the windshield...I'm going to say that it's paint.

I'd try some mineral spirits on it, and maybe a plastic razor blade since the paint is pretty bad anyway.

OP.....Check and see if that spot is level with the rest of the area. If it is then I stick with my lyme prediction. If you feel a bump, it could be paint. If you feel a bump, try lifting some with your fingernail :dblthumb2:

Another thing.....when you fingernailit, does it feel chalky?

It is level with paint...I did think of it being paint also but I was in bed and it was like 430am and I didnt want to get up and post my thoughts. Looks like I will stop by my local home improvement center and pick up a few small items and test it. Thanks guys for your input.

If it is level with the paint and feels chalky when you scrape it with your fingernail, it does sound more like a mineral deposit. Or possibly is it some sort of solvent spill on the paint that's actually removed the clear and topcoat?

Yes...very likely...going to start on the car in a bit...I will check more closely then.

By the looks of it, it seems that whatever produced that result was either projected into the hood with the car parked or droped from above with the car moving.

I tend to agree with our friend with "too many secrets"...:props:

Turns out Its 2wk old Bird poop. I am using Griots foam glass cleaner and Its slowly breaking it up.
