Hello,
Today I cleaned an already pretty clean engine bay by spraying Optimum Power Clean into a wet microfiber and wiping down under the hood including the painted parts. Next I used PERL to protect the plastics/hoses and finally used Opti-Seal to protect the painted parts. I had a few questions for next time:
1. Is OPC sprayed into a wet cloth too strong for the metal/painted parts under the hood?
2. I used PERL but also have 303 aerospace, UTTG+ and 1z vinyl and rubber protectant. Would any of those have been a better choice to keep the hoses/plastics supple? (I know UTTG+ would last longer)
3. Will Opti-Seal last under the hood with all the heat?
4. Finally, do you guys put anthing on the metal parts under the hood. The description for UTTG+ says it can go on metals to prevent corrosion but it would seem to me that it would make them greasy?
Thanks,
Drew
