I have been using Megs 105

followed by Megs 205 after I damp sand this fresh clear coat.

I am thinking trying some Menzerna (Powergloss) PG1000 in place of Megs 105 ???

Then What? (Super Intensive Polish) IS1500 in place of Megs 205???

Followed by SF 4500 PO85RD

How does this sound?

PG1000 does dust like M-105. Might I suggest the new Menzerna Fast Gloss 400 over PG1000. Hardly any dusting. When you compare it to PG1000.

I for see 1000 falling off and being completely replaced by fg400 or at least with every hobbyists collection fg400 yields a slightly higher cut than 1000 but its gloss is a 7 on the menzerna chart!

FG400 doesn't dust like PG1000. Use PG1000 on a hot and humid day and watch the dust fly around.

On the menzerna site they have a gloss value of 4? For pg1000 and a gloss value of 7? For 400... 400 is more aggressive than 1000 but to me the fact that 400 seems like the best 1 step or possibly 2 step if followed by 4000 or 4500... Adding up the abrasiveness of 1000+2500 and then 4000 or 4500 wouldn't you end up taking more clear off by starting to correct with 1000... 25000 and then a 4000 or 4500 than just going with 400 and then straight to 4-4500? I know there are so many variables with paint and there isn't a straight forward answer because there are so many other factors but if there is enough swirling/scratches to go with 1000 wouldn't you be better off starting with 400?
