Just about any wax will provide better protection and appearance than nothing at all..
My truck:
For years the factory painted and clear-coated wheels went unprotected and the always looked good after a wash. Once day I decided to polish my wheels so with a
Mothers Power Ball, some
Meguiar's M205 polish, and an electric drill I went to town on them...
Once the polishing was complete, I was surprised to see how much better they looked because years of oxidation and finish contaminates were now gone. The wheels were brilliant!
For a wax, I chose my old standby
Collinite 845..
Collinite 845 is a beautiful wax that not only creates a wet look, it also provides some of the finest long term protection of any wax I've used.
Collinite 845 reduced the normal accumulation of brake dust by about 50% between washings....this was huge!!
Collinite 845 - $15.00
Not bad for 14 year old wheels on my daily driver!!
