This molding will take the place of the factory body colored side molding on my Pathfinder. Here is the factory stuff compared to the new stuff:

I took the factory stuff off because the paint on it was mottled. Originally, I Plasti-dipped it black. I loved the look, but the Plasti-Dip wasn't durable enough for someone as OCD as me.
So, I was going to "paint" the original moldings black. We all know how durable rattle can paint is. That coupled with the fact that the 3M adhesive strips I used on them was IMPOSSIBLE to remove gave me the idea to just search for new moldings.
I found these from BrandSport in "satin" black, which was the exact color I wanted. So far, I'm very pleased with the appearance and the fact that these moldings also use 3M adhesive strips on the back - which stick very well.
Now, I need to "uncurl" the molding with a heat gun, cut appropriately, and stick on the truck. Too bad we are getting snow all week.
Here is a picture of the truck with the black Plasti-dipped molding:

Here is how it sits now, no molding:

I will post when I get this installed. Thanks for looking!
