Just picked up a 2014 Mustang GT Track Pack that I ordered a few months ago. Finish has no contamination that I can feel by hand and very, very light swirls in some areas. Not even in a hurry to correct these. I have some WG2.0 and Pinnacle Souveran waiting in the wings for the weekend. I just conditioned the seats with some Leatherique. Pardon the lousy iPhone pics. Will update soon.

As it stands, my plan is wash, Iron-x, WG2.0 (x2), and Souveran (x2).

Congrats on the new purchase. Track Pack = Excellent option. A lot of bang for the buck.

I took a 2013 GT as a rental to vegas and that formed my perception of this car. I was expecting to have to sink a few grand in suspension parts to bring it to where my S2000 is, but I was pleasantly shocked. It corners very flat and the brakes feel spectacular! There's torque everywhere and the car drives much smaller than it is. Feels like it weighs 2500 lbs! Totally impressed and wanted to get in before the new one is out. Wanted to get the last "traditional" pony before the euro styled redesign.

And thanks Johnny B

I was surprised how nimble the Stang drove, too. One of the guys trailer his GSX-R with it to the track (Buttonwillow). We took turn flogging it during lunch break. Seriously impressed. :props:

Congrats on the new ride! I've never driven one but the looks do it for me, stunnking! Did you get the glassroof? Then there's the wheels that come in that package, some of the best lookin' wheels from the factory ever!!!

Congrats on the purchase! Track Pack is the way to go.
I wanted to upgrade from an '09 to '13 or '14 but my budget won't allow.

Nice!!! I keep telling myself to wait for the redesign but seeing things like this makes me want that instant gratification! I had a 2002 with nitrous, aluminum driveshaft, 4.10:1 gears etc etc and I wish I never sold it but it is what it is and now I got room for a new one. Only this time I think im going turbo, refilling a bottle got old!

Noooooo cant compare that tank to the almighty s2000 lol

Haha, brother I know how crazy I sound. Trust me!

Thanks for the other comments this is my first new car (and last for a lonnnnng time haha) - pics are def forthcoming after the showcase showdown. I've only got access to a local wash bay. Love that it has a power washer and air drier, but wont use anything else. Will bring my own bucket and products (and a heap of $5 bills haha).

This one doesn't have the glass roof - I had a 93 MR2T with t-tops and all of that glass ended up in my hair and legs after I was hit by a guy making an illegal u-turn. For those of you that haven't seen this, it's amazing. It would be the ultimate step down to help me forget about the convertible.

My manager buys a SVT Mustang every 10 years; he has 2 track-prepped beasts at or above 600hp right now (2004 and 1994). He is always running the streets of Willow and has a run scheduled for mid march. I'm sitting out of this one, as I don't have time or money to do a complete fluid change and replace my tires and brakes after a single day's fun at the track.

But seriously - I was a dyed-in-the-wool import racer before last December. My last 3 cars were some heavily modded MR2s and this bone stock S2000. No way I If you told me last year that I'd be after one of these 'Merican heaps I'd have laughed you out of the room! There's just something about these cars - any American muscle car I'd say. Love the rumble and I totally get what my dad was talking about back in the day. You HAVE to have a V8 with stick shift at least once in your life.

@Chris's FX4: The rear end is def planted. You don't even notice that it's not independant with the third link setup. I have seen some rendering of the 2015 and it's beautiful - very Aston Martin/European. Unfortunately, that's not my thing. I wanted the more retro/classic look. Another thing to consider is that these larger displacement motors are on their way out. Ford will be turboing everything in the near future and rumor has it they wil be brining back the 4 cyl mustang next round - think of an Ecoboost 4 in the Stang! No! No!

Sweet mercy people. You need to drive a V8 with a stick at least once in your lives! It's intoxicating! Don't let the gub'ment take away our muscle cars and force our manufacturers into foisting global/euro platforms onto us! If I wanted that, I'd have bought an Audi!

That's quite a car and I wish you the best of luck with it!!....:props:

Having a car like that also requires you to post a lot of high resolution photos for the rest of us that can't afford one...at least we can have some nice photos! :props:

Any side profile shots??? :dblthumb2:

More of a 3/4 and it's nasty, my friend:

Thank you BobbyG - I will post the required pics provided you all answer my late night cries for help!

Right on man.:props:

Yeah, I know how good they handle even for being a solid axle. My dad as a 2007 and it handles great but the new ones handle even better. It's amazing how well they perfected the solid axle for these cars.

I don't think the V8 will die. Yes, they are supposed to bring the Ecoboost 4cyl over for 2015 but they can't kill the V8. Just look for some Direct Injection in the next 5.0.

Not to hi-jack your thread, but have you seen this spy shot of the 2015? Has me a little nervous.

Please more pictures. This 'stang is beautiful! These newest Mustangs really catch my eye anymore, and i'm a Jap-crap guy. Seriously love this car. Can't wait for further pictures! :D

I haven't heard/seen anything about the next Mustang other than photo's but let's not dismiss the turbo'd 4 pot, 300 hp is VERY easy in that car and if the Ecoboost V6 fits in the new car, well, 400 hp is easy there too, noone said the V8 is going away in the Stang. The SVO (84-86) wasn't sucessful due to the engine not being so good and the fact that the "Merican attitude" was still in effect, trust me, many knuckle draggers didn't get but they're dying off like dinasours anyways, this is the future, let's embrace it! My buddy said Livernois Engineering back home in Dearborn MI has a 12 second Flex running around, so the power is there and the tuners are ready!

Yah the Coyote 5.0s already have the cuts made into the clendar heads for DI. Will be interesting!

Yeah, I think that one was being used to test the IRS.

@ Blongo804 - thank you man! I still have a place in my heart for the Jap stuff, man. Always will.

Sorry if I neglected to respond to anyone - at work (bahaha).
