OK...I'm going to use the Wolfgang products with a Flex 3401 on an Black Audi Q5 with a lot of swirling. A few scratches but mostly swirls.

I've bought all my pads and products so not looking for advice with what products or pads.

I plan on using 5" LC Hybrid pads but just wanted confirmation of which pad with which step.

For the swirling:

WGTSR - Test panel starting with BLUE light cutting pad...and if I need to go a little more aggresive than the ORANGE cutting pad.

WGFG - WHITE polishing pad.

WGDGPS - BLACK finishing pad.

For the light scratches:

Will the WGTSR remove scratches? And if so....Go at it with the ORANGE pad from the get go with the WGTSR. Then WHITE and BLACK as above with the WGFG and WGDGPS.

Does that look right? I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks...

Great choice on the WG twins. Bullet proof results every time with any machine on any paint with a variety of pads.

I think your approach is good but until you do a test spot you won't know the best combo.

I'm using wg tsr to rid my truck of swirls. it's working rather well. I would try a white pad first then go to orange if that isn't working.

Congrats on the product pickup you have mentioned. I use this combo a lot. Your process stated above is perfect.

Since these are DAT products, remember the longer you work them the better they finish.

You do have the LC interchangeable bp system correct?

I do...a little costly...but it's pretty slick...

If you started with White...and needed more cutting ability...would you go to Blue first? Then Orange?

You are correct in your post concerning hybrid pads.

He may be refering to the flats, CCS, or other pads.

Determine how much swirls were left after the first trial then judge which pad to go. If it still left whole lots swirls, then definitely jump to more aggressive pad instead of the medium one. Otherwise vice verse.

I would like to mention most of Audis paints are Rock hard. Try the blue if not swap over to orange. I would suggest menz fg 400 for a great cut and defect removal for the next purchase.
