Just saw these on the autogeek "Whats New" section. Pretty tempted to pick one up because waffle weaves arent my favorite for drying. Anyone have any experience/pictures to share of these towels?

Duragloss is known for high quality products so I am sure this towel will perform very well. Duragloss is also usually known for value. This towel, however, is at the high end of the price scale. It just seems a bit overpriced for a towel no matter how well it dries a car. In fact, considering its size, it may be the most expensive drying towel you can find. Speaking of size, it is medium as far as drying towels go, which means it might take two of these to dry a good size car or truck.

The link below will take you to a drying towel you might like because it is not a waffle weave (btw, what do you have against ww towels?). It is considerably larger than the Duragloss towel but only half the price. Note that the reviewer (a pro detailer) gave it five stars. He also indicated that one towel alone will dry an SUV or Truck: Carrand Microfiber MAX Supreme Drying Towel, microfiber drying towel, supreme microfiber towel, auto spa (http://www.autogeek.net/microfiber-drying-towel.html)

Having said all this, I'm afraid I can not comment on these towels specifically as I have never used either of them. But if price is not a big consideration for you I am sure the Duragloss towel will not disappoint you.

Thanks for your insight Shortspark. I personally like fluffy nap towels for drying because I feel they contour to the car better and absorb more water. Just a personal preference kind of thing. Waffle weaves are a little more stiff than a towel with a long nap.

I use Cobra Guzzlers, Sonus waffle weaves, and these:

Cobra Super-Plush Deluxe Microfiber Towel is 100% microfiber all the way to the edge! Our softest microfiber detailing & buffing towel. (http://www.autogeek.net/cobra-microfiber-towel.html)

For this particular towel, I think the 16x24 inch size is perfect - a very manageable size due to its weight. However, it is available in 25x36 inches as well. You can get a 3 pack of the 16x24 for $30, or a 3 pack of the 25x36 for $40.
