Interesting clear coat failure

Has to be something spilled on the hood. Doubt it's clear coat failure in the traditional sense
 
Yep had to be something topical like a liquid that some have stated that was on the paint just by looking at the way the clear coat looks.
 
it could also be paint stripper in a light percentage
 
As said above...topical. Something was spilled or....?
