Thanks to AGO, I've been getting more familiar with the Dura Gloss line. The 501/601 mix is an outstanding paint cleaner combo. I recently did my daughter's new-to-her Honda Fit and it really brightened the orange color and, from the looks of my pad, removed a lot of garbage from the paint, despite a fresh dealer detail prior to the sale.
My normal DD procedure is to follow it up with something like Collinite 845 or 476. On this one, scheduling just hasn't worked, so it's been 2 months with just DG501. One thing that's really caught my attention is that it never seems to look dirty. Sometimes I need to take a real close look to make sure she hasn't washed it. Is this a characteristic of DG waxes?
The beading is anything but pretty, but the surface is still smooth and relatively slick. When I first tried my DG stuff, I followed 501/601 with some 105. It just didn't look and bead to my expectations, so I traded it away. Whadaya think, should I give 105 another try? 101, 104 or 111 maybe? As the one who washes three of the four family cars, anything to stretch the intervals between washings is OK by me, as it gives me more garage time to fuss with my own rides.
Opinions or experiences welcome!
