I have been doing alot of friends and family cars lately. I have run across a small problem. The wheels I have to clean are soiled in brake dust and it results with me buying a huge amount otc. I want something from ag that is in bulk, around 20 dollars, its diluteable and can clean all different wheel types.

Help would be appreciated

Just use an apc. I use purple power 4:1 for wheels and works descent on my cheaper jobs.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using AG Online

Meg's apc. Maybe wheel brightener or the new all wheel and tire cleaner they have in the detailer line.

I currently use zep citrus. It is a great price at 11 dollars for about 12 gallons or more. However, It is okay at actually getting rid of heavy brake dust.

Any thoughts or reviews of meguiars non acidic tire and wheel cleaner from the pro line?

Yes it works very well. Similar to their all wheel an tire cleaner cleans tires well and works pretty good on brake dusted wheels.

that might be my purchase. I had to do a jeep in 4 hours, and while it came out good, it was too hard to work with something like meguiars otc. as I used alot

I have tried APC+, Wheel Brightener, OPC and I like them all.
I have also tried some other products like the Surfex HD or Mitchell and King Rim, both from UK.

Surfex HD can be diluted at 10% (this means 1:9?) and still work very well.

Mitchell and King Rim is pH neutral and can be diluted at 1:1-1:4. Spray on rims and watch it turn purple.

Both are :props: and economical even when shipping is included.

I think im going to test out the meguiars wheel cleaner non acidic. Should work well and be economical for the amount of cars I will need to do.

I uses purple power 4:1 just like ken tuep but i also carry a acid wheel cleaner diluted 10:1 that i will spray on a old spoke brush to clean the barrels/speed up time and at eight dollars its not bad

Out of curiosity, why not just soap and water?

My wifes van gets heavy brake dust and unfortunately can go weeks without me washing it. They get pretty filthy. The wheel covers clean up fine with a bucket of Megs Gold Class and a wheel wash mitt.

I no longer waste money on wheel cleaners.

The only dilutable wheel cleaner I have used (and really like, especially the smell) is Chemical Guys Diablo. I know that Swanic likes Chemical Guys Sticky Rim and they also have Signature Wheel cleaner, all of which is dilutable.
