I need some help with a engine cleanup. While driving home a transmission fluid line failed in my current vehicle. The fluid is saturated throughout the front of the engine bay. There was so much I am having a hard time finding the leak.
On order for me to find it I need to clean it up well enough to see the damage. What should I try to clean up this mess. Thanks for the help.

I'd suggest Meg's Degreaser, Gunk engine degreaser or Simple Green should handle it.

Agree with Ralph (above), that and a LOT of patience.

I know it is 'old school', but having your engine room (and probably the nearby under carriage) "steam cleaned" may be a good option this time. ATF has nasty property of just creeping into everything and everywhere.

Good luck...

Bill
