Buying staff from Autogeek.net

I need to buy some soap for my car and found one on AG webside, price is ok but shipping cost almost 50% of the price. And Amazon selling same soap AG seller-same price but shipping 50% cheaper, even with 15% discount cheaper to buy trough Amazon, why is that? We talking about same product, from same company and shipping twice as much?
 
I have the same problem. I created a thread in the Customer Comments section with reasonable requests and they don't even bother to respond. I want to buy from AG but can't afford to because of shipping. =(
 
Yes, you will have that problem if you just need a couple of small items. My solution is to wait for AG to offer free shipping on orders over $xx and stock up! :awesome:
 
I also agree that shipping kills your budget.
A while back I ordered a gallon of CG'S Maxi-Suds for $12.00 with free shipping. GreT bargain.
You can't get free shipping on everything however, I just try and be a smart shopper.

I'll soon order a few products and I'll buy it through AG because I can't get free shipping on them so might as well support AG if the shipping rates are the same that is.
 
Their shipping rates are on the HIGH side so it's best to wait for a good sale.

Not sure why they are as high as they are though and they are really high.

But yeah as the OP said Amazon will be much cheaper overall cost wise (Product with shipping).

AG ships UPS and they are not cheap, the P.O. is much cheaper in general with their flat rate Priority Mail boxes.....

I NEVER ship anything UPS.......
 
A friend of mine wanted to buy Tuf Shine after I told her about it.
So she came here to order it but told me it was just too high for shipping and found it elsewhere for much cheaper. (Half the price)
I guess they have to make money somehow.:)

Not surprising at all and very easy to beat their prices due to the high shipping costs.

And you don't even have to try hard either....

I do order from AG though with the sales. :)
 
Yea, its funny... people complain how expensive Adam's is and they're shipping is half the cost than here. AND they have more shipping options..
 
Just priced the exact same products on Amazon and AG.

M105 32 oz - 27.99 - AG
M105 32 oz - 27.99 - Amazon

M26 - 16 oz - 15.99 - AG
M26 - 16 oz - 12.99 - Amazon

Shipping - 12.95 - AG
Shipping - FREE - Amazon - 2 Day....

Total - AG - 56.93
Total - Amazon - 40.98
 
Check the Amazon- selling from Palm beach motor company- this is our Autogeek.net same company same price but half of shipping-something wrong with this picture, I even have email from AG with thanks for buying from them. And sometimes we need staff now, can't wait for sale, anybody from AG manegement?

Now that is strange....

Like I said before though, have to catch the sales.
 
However their Price match page states the following:

It's one of the reason I don't order more product from AG. If they had flat rate shipping for orders of $50 like the other site I order from I would order a lot more. It's $10 more for shipping from AG and when your doing this for a living it matters. I don't need to order $125 every time I want something I would be out of business.

The shipping could add up to quite a bit over the coarse of a year...

What I don't understand is if they can sell through Amazon at either the same price or cheaper and with better shipping rates......

Then why is shipping so high off the AG Page?

And they say they won't match Amazon....

When they sell on Amazon........

And looking at the site they are all tied in together so I am confused....

And this is coming from someone who has been in Retail for around 30 years and in Management for MOST of it.
 
I dont understand what the problem is, now that I know that i just will buy from amazon.

It seems to me that it would be a very simple adjustment...

All they have to do is get their shipping rates on AG in line with what they are already charging through Amazon.

And they would move a lot more product.......

Yeah, they could always get in contact with me if they need a consultant and or someone in Management to get things streamlined for them. :xyxthumbs:

They would be turning over a lot more product.....

All I can say is there is something missing there someplace....
