Hello guys,
Well a little intro first since it's my first post. I have been reading and watching a lot of video's on this forum. I have been learning and taking in as much info as I possibly can.
I am not new to car care, but in past years I have paid professionals to do the hard jobs and I do my best at maintaining my cars. Like many on here I was afraid of doing more harm then good when it came to using a polisher, and pro grade products. However in the last few weeks I decided to educate myself and start doing more challenging paint care projects.
I started with my 2013 GTI, and using products already in my inventory. I got lucky and found a Rupes 21ES locally for sale, and ordered the Groits 3" DA from AG. The products I had on hand were Auto Glym polish and sealer. It all went well and I am happy with the results, however I wanted to try some more higher end products so I made an order with eShine for some Klasse, and iron X products and went to work on my wife's car, which is a 2012 TDi sport wagon.
My question is in regards to my last step. I applied Klasse High Gloss Sealant and waited almost 2 hours for the sealant to dry. Unfortunately I could't wait much longer as my wife needs her car for work the next day, and I didn't want to be working on her car till 3 in the morning.
The sealant did not seem dry, so either I put to much on, or didn't wait long enough for it to dry. I was having a very hard time removing haze, so I used some auto glym rapid detailer spray to help remove the haze. I used it very very lightly.
So now to the actual question... LOL. Did using spray wipe off all the sealant, or did it just help me remove the haze and my paint is still protected by the sealant?
It left a very nice finish and looks very good, I'd say as good or better then it did when we got the car new. So as far as "looks" I am happy, I just want to make sure my paint is still protected as winter is near.
