I have been using the foam gun for a while now and still cannot correct my dilution issue. Today, I used 4 capfuls of standard mothers soap and filled the container then went to work. The foam works for half the car, but then dilutes too much. Im working with the number 3 and four setting but it does not do me much better,

any help here would be appreciated

In my Gilmour, I use 2oz of CG Honeydew on the maximum foam setting (the biggest hole on the slider).

Lots of foam. Able to coat entire SUV and lower panels twice.

So how would you get that with otc wash such as mothers wash
I put 4 capfuls in and put in on setting 4

sorry to kind of change the question but what kind of pressure washers do you guys use??

I dont use a pressure washer, I have a gun which is a bit more economical as you dont need a pressure washer. I like the gun as it is about the same as the cannon in terms of use, but requires less work to start

Try using hot water and filling the canister only 75 percent of the way full.

I think I figured this out....
Mothers says pour 1oz of soap per gallon, basically on setting 4, 2oz of soap is 8 capfuls. I have to find out what 2 oz equals on a measuring cup and go from there

google converted it and it says that 2oz is 1/4 of a cup

Try putting soap in container AFTER 3/4 filled with water.

ohhh can you shoot me a link to this foam gun if AG has it?? sounds pretty convenient if i don't have to spend money for a pressure washer

I am over in the UK where this kind of thing is much more common. To my knowledge, there are no options which provide thick foam without a pressure washer. There are many options out there but, they just cannot hope to produce the same level of foam. The more important question is whether shaving foam actually helps. The answer depends upon whether you care to properly consider the science or if you believe what you read on the internet.
